Life brings people and situations to us that cause amazing, as well as, horrific experiences. And, when we realize we are always with ourselves so the mess is ours to clean up… well, THAT can send us screaming for the nearest comforting thing – human or substance!

Pain is universal. Your pain is what I’m concerned about. Your specific steps toward shrinking that pain to make way for “rich living,” is what we're here to find out. Together, we’re shrinking the problems, concerns, and life blocks you bring to therapy.

Know that you start where YOU start. You know there's a thing that happened, but it's not time to go there? Say that. Your life feels chaotic and hard all the time, but you don't know why? Say that. You love your partner, but it's "just not supposed to be this hard"? I can work with that. We'll start there.

​

For 22 years, I've been invited into the lives of people who took a risk to show up. For individual therapy, couple and marriage counseling, as well as group therapy. Were they all an ideal fit? No. Did they all figure out pretty quickly whether I could hold their hand and kick their butt to a new normal? You bet.

You will read through this website, maybe check around SM, and Psychology Today. You'll get a sense of whether I might be the right match for you. That's when you make an initial appointment and decide for yourself. While I am an expert at what I do, YOU are the expert of you in the therapy room. ​

​**I do want to be transparent on a few personal things that may be important to you: I am gender queer, have no biological children (but a wonderful bonus adult son), am neurodivergent, was in a monogamous marriage with a man for 19 years and a partnership with a man for 11. I am far beyond LGBTQIA+ affirming. There is no avoiding topics of race, social justice, money, politics, or gender here.
